HPV Vaccination
Vaccination generally prevents infection from certain microbes, by getting the human organism ready to cope with them. The HPV vaccine protects against infection from HPV virus, which in the worst case causes cervical cancer.
HPV vaccination reduces cervical cancer probability by more than 70%.
Vaccine safety has been globally tested, with millions of women getting vaccinated against HPV.
Vaccination should ideally take place before the start of sexual activity, because thbody has not yet been exposed to the virus. Nevertheless, if a woman becomes sexually active and gets exposed to a type of HPV, the vaccine still protects her from the other types.
