Urinary Incontinence
Urinany Incontinence is a relatively frequent problem for women, especially older ones. Light urinary incontinence can be presented immediately after labor, but it’s more common after menopause. It’s a major issue for many women, since it affects their everyday life and reduces quality of life.
Incontinence may occur as a sudden urge to urinate and accidental loss of urine before they reach the restroom or loss of urine when they laugh loudly, cough or lift weight.
Incontinence includes the following symptoms:
- Increased urge to urinate – increased frequency of urinating during the day
- Sleep disruption during the night
- Urine leakage before reaching the restroom
It’s not a life-threatening condition. It’s something that affects our social life, our sexual realtionships, our work and all of our everyday activities.
Good news is that therapy is feasible. By changing some habits and/or doing specific exercises, we can avoid pointless surgical procedures and also medicine in light cases of incontinence. If deemed necessary, surgical procedures also have a high percentage of success.
In our private practice, you will get a correct diagnosis and, based on it, the appropriate therapy.
